Rainy Days.

It has been raining a lot lately! Today is a gloomy day and I think I will stay inside!

Has anyone else heard the new Jon Foreman CD's? He is writing one for each season, so far he has Fall and Winter. Both are awesome. Definitely check them out. They are really perfect to listen to at the season. Very calm music.

We spent Friday night eating and bowling with friends from my work. I really work with the coolest people. We had lots of fun! Thanks John, Brian, Rachel, Megan, Jose and Jared for hanging out!

The rest of the weekend we spent relaxing. We ate in Pacific beach, and got some amazing burgers at Bare Back Grill, where Nate's work friend's girlfriend works. It was very yummy and fun! It's a cool atmosphere.
Thats all for today! Have a great Monday!

Beautiful SD!

Nate and I took the day yesterday to do two things we have wanted to since we have lived here...go to Cabrillo National Monument, and to Mt. Soledad Cross. It was a really cool experience. Both have amazing views of San Diego. It was fun to see the whole city like that. Cabrillo has two lighthouses, a monument of Juan Cabrillo, a very beautiful cemetery, and awesome views of SD. Mt. Soledad is a veteran Memorial, and it also has amazing views of SD.

Today is the Chargers game (Nate is watching right now!) We are hoping they win!!! Wade is playing a few blocks from us with his band The Professors, so we will probably wander down there sometime soon :)

This is the sunset last night...beautiful! I took it from across the street at our house. I love that we can see the sunset so well from our place.

Have a great day!

What did you do this weekend?

Sunny Days!

It has been BEAUTIFUL this week...Maddi and I have been taking really long walks in the warmth. She is a goofball, I took this picture yesterday. She has been jumping into this chair by our window so she and sit and look out.

Nate and I went to Corvette Diner last night. It was so cool. It is a 50's diner with corvettes and fun waitresses and waiters. The fries were 'bomb' as Tony told us they would be. Then we went to see Juno. We loved it. Has anyone else seen it?

Have a great day!

Go Chargers!

So the Chargers won! We had a Chargers pride day at the school, the kids get really into it. Jose and John painted Chargers colors on the kids faces...they love it. I also know that Nate and the rest of OB really loved watching the game. Someone here has a really loud blowhorn that they sound everytime the Chargers score. Good times.

This week was so fun with Meg here. We went Whale watching on Wendsday, it was awesome. We saw some Whales and Dolphins. It was a three hour cruise around the San Diego bay, and out into the ocean. Here are some pictures.

It is a beautiful weekend. We brought Maddi to the beach yesterday for her first time in a long time. She LOVED it. The waves are also huge! We will try and get some pictures of them!

So...How is everyone doing?

Sightseeing.

So today we went sightseeing. It was fun, we saw seals at La Jolla Cove,

drove thorough Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and ended in Balboa Park. The coolest was the botanical gardens.

It is WONDERFUL to have Meg here. I have missed her! We are now settled into our apartment watching the Chargers game and resting. It is super rainy, so it is hard to be out and about. But we tried to make the best of it!

Meg!!

So Meghan and her brother Nate are making a last minute trip out here! I am so excited to see her! We are picking them up from the airport at 11, and they are staying until Thursday. Unfortunately today is the rainiest day since we have lived here, and someone said we are supposed to get more rain today then San Diego has gotten in years. But that's alright, looking at the radar, it is pretty light compared to what we usually see in GH, so we really can't complain.
So we went out to eat with some friends on Thursday night at a Sushi Deli. It was an experience for us! We are not adventurous eaters, but we tried some new things :) It was pretty good. I got California rolls, which is basically rice, avocado, and imitation crab. I liked it.
School starts back up on Monday, I am super excited. We had camp for the past two weeks, and I like being in school more than camp. But we went to some cool places. We had a tour of Petco Park (Where the Padres play) , went to a lot of parks, the Birch Aquarium, and Ice skating. Its fun, but when you are trying to keep 50 kids under control, its a bit stressful!
Well, I hope that everyone is having a good 2008 so far!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year! It is so hard to believe that we have lived here for over three months now! We finally got our car registered here. We had to get a smog test and we were dreading it...but we passed! We even have our California Drivers licences! They are pretty cool. It makes me feel Official!
Since Gerald and Bekah showed us the wonders of Jamba Juice, Nate has become quite addicted and we go often. It is a really good smoothie place for those who don't know...Yum.

Nate's Dad sent us a great little REAL Christmas tree in the mail, and we decorated it with the ornaments my mom sent and the little mittens from Starbucks gift cards :) Isn't it adorable? We loved it!

I had to take this picture yesterday, It was 70 on New Years Eve. That is pretty cool.

Our pets are doing well. They have grown closer thorough the move. Its pretty cute.

Well, I think that is all for now. We are off to get some food! Love and miss you!

What did you do for New Years? Did anyone make resolutions? Any things you really want to do in 2008?
