Everyday America!

We went to a Sugarland concert a few weeks ago, and I am loving their music. I currently have Everyday America stuck in my head...
I had the wonderful chance to go see my dear friends Caroline and Lydia (and Scott!) in Austin Texas. We had a blast. It was so great to see them, and spend some time in their fun city.

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Joel Zumaya pitching!
For Nate's birthday we went to the Tigers/Padres games. First we went on Friday night (pictures above), and they lost...it was sad. But it was very fun because we had great seats, and were in a section filled with Tigers fans. I think there were just as many tigers fans as Padres fans. Yesterday(pictures below) we went and the Tiger's won! YAY! Both were really good games. Now Nate is watching the third game on TV...we will see who wins!

SWITCHFOOT BRO AM!!

The Switchfoot concert was awesome! We had so much fun. It was a perfect beach day, and the whole event was very laid-back and fun. There were a lot of booths promoting the different organizations that were benefiting from the fund raising...such as Stand Up for kids, To write love on her arms, and more. It was a very cool thing to be a part of. We were really close for the concert, which was wonderful. First we saw A Fine Frenzy. They were amazing. This girl can sing. Then was LA symphony, a very entertaining rap group. Finally was Switchfoot. They were so awesome. They inspired me once again. The words in their songs are great.
This is out on the beach...where the concert was.
There was a surfing contest, and these are the winners.
Jon Foreman from Switchfoot
I have a question for everyone...what was the first concert you ever went to?

Brad!

We had a wonderful weekend spending some quality time with our dear friend Brad! We spent a lot of time going around SD, and Brad taped a bunch of stuff for videos. We went to this canyon bike-riding-jumping place that Nate's friend Jake jumps at, and we took some pictures and video of him. It was pretty sweet.

Today we are off to Encinitas to go to the Bro Am Beach event that Switchfoot has every year. Its a free event with a day full of concerts and surf competitions, so that should be fun!

Baseball....

So we had a wonderful week with my brother here. After all of the fun we had at the rainy Padres game, we drove up to Anahim to see the TIGERS!!! play the Angels. It was a good time! Sure they lost, and there were no runs for the first 13 innings....but it was still cool.

We also went to the SD Zoo, because if you are in SD, you have to go to the zoo.

On our way to the Tigers game, we drove up the coast and went through Laguna Beach, Newport Beach (where my Dad accually lived when he was younger...) and Huntington Beach. It was awesome to see the area, and while in Huntington beach we saw a bunch of guys get in a huge fight. (don't worry Mom, we were safe.) It was pretty crazy.

So now we are waiting for Brad to get here...he is driving from Las Vegas to visit! YAY BRAD!

Hope everyone is well!

Relaxing Weekend in Palm Springs.

Nate and I spent the weekend in Palm Springs to celebrate our two year anniversary! It was a nice place, very hot! It was 95 this weekend. But it was very enjoyable to sit by the pool and also to sight-see in downtown Palm Springs.

We went on an aerial tramway up into the mountians. It was very cool. We started at the bottom, in 95 degree temps, and at the top of the mountian, it was in the 60's. There were even some patches of snow in some places. It was very cool.

Happy Mother's day! Hope you have a wonderful week.
